The shopping paradise as we may call it, are the numerous shops and shopping malls situated in old districts which create an exceptional shopping world. You may come across a colourful blend of small boutiques, restaurants and cafes. There are a lot of shops and shopping arcades in only pedestrian zones. As Poland is known first and foremost for its handicraft goods they can be bought as souvenirs. Polish silver and amber jewellery are especially renowned, but hand-embroidered table-cloths, cut glass from Silesia and ceramics from Bolesławiec are also very popular. Small towns of southern Poland are known for their wooden handicraft goods for example “ciupaga” mountain walking stick and dairy products “oscypek sheep’s milk cheese as well as thick, hand-knitted woolen sweaters. Traditional handicraft products are sold in Krakow Sukiencice in Main Market Square and Krupowki streets in Zakopane.
