History blends with a modern art in every street and in every town house. Kazimierz, now a vibrant Krakow district, which lies to the south of the Royal Castle , was once a town in its own right from 14th to 19th century. With its labyrinthine streets and low-standing houses, where a Polish and Jewish culture coexisted, it feels like a different world to the Old Town of Krakow, and indeed it is a perfect place not only for tourists but Krakow citizens as well.
